Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP is the proud sponsor of the ACC TED Masterclass Program.

What is the opportunity?

ACC will select a group of in-house counsel to learn how to prepare and deliver a TED-style talk. Each selected participant will view a series of self-paced online TED learning modules and record their own TED-style talk that will be published on ACC.com. Looking for inspiration? Check out some of the 2020 videos submitted by ACC members.

In 11 one-hour TED video lessons, you will learn to identify your ideas, plan your approach, and develop your talk on an important topic using the skills you've learned. You are not limited to professional topics. The TED process is designed to help you determine your idea as you progress through the course. Check out a quick video overview of the course.

Space in the TED Masterclass Program is limited, so give yourself the best chance of acceptance by submitting your application today.

What is the timeline for participation in this opportunity?

Applications are due by March 31.

Selected applicants will be notified by April 16.

Participants will be asked to complete the course and deliver their TED-style talk videos to ACC by September 30.

Why is ACC offering this opportunity?

Communicating effectively is key to advancing your in-house career. In the 2020 ACC CLO Survey, 45 percent of respondents listed communication and listening skills as non-legal skills CLOs seek to develop for the lawyers in their legal department. This program will help participants develop essential communication, innovation, collaboration, and editorial skills.

Is there a cost or fee associated with this opportunity?

Yes. Selected member applicants will be invited to participate in this exciting new professional and personal development program for a fee of US$40.

Selected non-member in-house counsel will be required to purchase a one-year ACC membership (US$385/AU$405), plus a reduced program fee of US$30, to participate.

What is the expected outcome?

If selected, you will be expected to complete the 11 one-hour self-paced TED video lessons and ultimately deliver your talk for publication by ACC by September 30, 2021.
